Gov. Adeleke rejects Osun Tribunal’s verdict

Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun’ State has rejected the judgement of the governorship tribunal, upturning his election victory.

Reacting to the judgement on Friday in Ede, his country home, Adeleke described the verdict as a ”miscarriage of justice”.

He vowed to challenge the ruling at the Court of Appeal.

The governor faulted the resolution of the over-voting question in favour of Mr Oyetola.

”This is an unfair interpretation against the will of majority of voters,” Adeleke said.

He urged his supporters to remain calm, vowing to appeal the judgement.

Adeleke insisted that he remains the rightful winner of the July 16 election.
