The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), in collaboration with Imose Technologies, has rolled out the made-in-Nigeria laptops and tablets to boost the nation’s technological gadgets.

TheNewsZenith reports that the NASENI Zedon X-Pro laptop has a Core i5 processor and a 14-inch screen. It offers a blend of power, portability and practicality.

According to an official statement from the agency, the gadget is an attractive choice for a wide range of users including students and professionals.

Similarly, the joint efforts led to the production of a 10.5-inch tablet that strikes a balance between portability and functionality.

This makes it an ideal choice for various use cases like document editing, drawing video streaming or gaming.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NASENI, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, said the partnership was strategic.

Halilu said it was a move, which aligns with the Agency’s three Cs principles of Collaboration, Creation and Commercialisation.

“This is a commitment to work with like minds.

“And, this is why, we are working with Imose Technologies to bridge the technological gap by reducing importation bills.

“We are transforming the Agency by making it a central player in Nigeria’s technology revolution by adopting, adapting and domesticating cutting-edge technologies.

“At NASENI, we are building a national brand that going forward, households in Nigeria will have NASENI product,” Halilu said.

Also, the Chairman of Imose Technologies, Osayi Izedonmwen, remarked that the duo jointly focused on solving uniquely Nigerian problems.

“We have been championing local manufacturing of mobile and computer devices to improve lives and transform local institutions,” Izedonmwen said.

He expressed joy that NASENI chose to partner with his company for the domestication of laptop production.

“This is helping to bridge the digital divide and improve access to technology for education and work,” TheNewsZenith quotes him as saying.

The NASENI and Imose Technologies brands share similar values and beliefs of innovation and nationalism.

“Government ministries, departments, agencies, public institutions, private organizations and consumers can buy NASENI laptops by sending requests to sales@naseni.gov.ng,” he added.
