Nigeria hosts African First Ladies’ 10th General Assembly

Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari will, on Monday, host other African First Ladies at the 10th General Assembly Summit of the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM) in Abuja.

The Head of Information in First Lady’s office, Mr Suleiman Haruna, announced this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.

Haruna said the first lady will also inaugurate the newly constructed headquarters of the Mission, along Airport Road in Abuja.

The event holds from Monday, May 8 to Tuesday, May 9.

Former and serving first ladies from different African countries will hopefully attend the event.

The event will also host representatives from the United Nations, members of the diplomatic corps, the African Union and the Economic Community of West African States.
