The Police in Ondo State have arrested an herbalist and three suspected kidnappers for various criminal offences.

TheNewsZenith reports that the Police arrested the suspects at the state command headquarters, behind Federal Secretariat, Igbatoro road, on Friday, in Akure.

Mr Abayomi Oladapo, the Commissioner of Police in the state, paraded the suspects.

A mild drama ensued when the 35-year-old herbalist (name withheld), confessed to having a human head when police operatives arrested him.

The herbalist confessed that he committed a crime by cutting off the head of a deceased and slicing it into two parts.

He said he sliced the human head into two for a money-making ritual.

“I gave one part of the head to my colleague and I kept the other for ritual purposes,” he confessed.

He said he was going into the bush for a hunting expedition and saw the dead body of a woman.

“I informed Oluawo about the discovery and he pleaded with me to give him some parts, which I did.

“I only cut part of the head, I kept one in my house and I gave the other part to Oluawo who requested it,” he said.

The suspected herbalist told newsmen that he used the human parts to make black soap for those in need of money ritual.

“We usually harvest human parts on demand by those who want to make quick money. We burn the human parts to produce the black soap.”

Oladapo also said his me arrested four suspected kidnappers in the Ofosu area, near Edo State.

According to the CP, the suspects kidnapped some people during church service. The victims, however, escaped from their abductors who slept off after taking hard drugs.

The Commissioner said the Police would arraign all the suspects after concluding the preliminary investigation.
