Akure, March 11, ’25 (TNZ) The management of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH), Ondo has felicitated the incoming Vice-Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, Prof. Ebuoluwa Adejuyigbe over her new appointment.
TheNewsZenith reports that Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa appointed Adejuyigbe, a professor of Paediatrics, following the recommendation of the Governing Council of the university.
The Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Michael Gbala, extended the felicitation in a statement, e-mailed to TheNewsZenith on Tuesday.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to Prof. Ebun Adejuyigbe on her well-deserved appointment as the third substantive Vice-Chancellor of UNIMED.
“We are confident that your vision, expertise and dedication to institutional development will propel UNIMED to greater heights.
“We eagerly anticipate a strengthened collaboration between UNIMED and UNIMEDTH to further enhance medical training, clinical services and research,” TheNewsZenith quotes Gbala as stating.
The acting CMD expressed appreciation to the governor for his commitment to strengthening medical education and healthcare in Ondo State.
“His dedication to advancing the health sector in the state is highly commendable.

Gbala also congratulated the outgoing Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, on the successful completion of his tenure
