The Committee of Pro-Chancellors of the State-owned Universities in Nigeria has scheduled its seventh biennial conference in Lagos for five days starting Monday, July 8.
TheNewsZenith reports that the three state-owned universities in Lagos State will host the conference.
The institutions are the Lagos State University, Lagos State University of Education and Lagos State University of Science & Technology.
The Conference Planning Committee, headed by the Vice Chairman of COPSUN, Prof. Ayodeji Omole, announced this in a statement emailed to TheNewsZenith on Wednesday.
The theme of the conference is “Effective University Governance: Role of Stakeholders”.
Omole stated that the conference would attract scholars and stakeholders in the education sector from all walks of life.
“The conference will open with a courtesy call on the Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, who is a Visitor to the three universities.

Programmes outlined for the biennial conference include the formal opening on Tuesday, July 9 at the Marriot Hotel, Ikeja.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu is the Chief Host while Sen. Joshua Lidani, Chairman of the COPSUN is the host.
Plenary sessions will begin after the opening ceremony.
The plenary will feature prominent personalities like Prof. Julius Amioba Okojie, Emeritus Prof. Femi Bamiro and Prof. Dapo Asaju.
Other expected are former Senate President, Dr Adolphus Wabara; Chief (Mrs) Mojisola Ladipo and Emeritus Prof. Peter Okebukola.
