Dr Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul, Rector of Yaba College of Technology has felicitated the entire workforce of the college on the occasion of the 2024 Workers Day on May 1.

In a message, he signed and mailed to TheNewsZenith on Wednesday, Abdul commended the college workers for fully supporting his administration.

“It is my joy to felicitate with the entire workforce of the first tertiary institution in Nigeria, Yaba College of Technology, on the auspicious 2024 Workers’ Day Celebration.

“No doubt, since my assumption as the seventh indigenous Rector, I have enjoyed your full support.

“You have supported me in running this 77-year-old College with an exemplary management team.

“Without mincing words, your cooperation has enabled this administration to record monumental developmental achievements.

“These achievements are notable in academics, infrastructure, training and excellent administration to the satisfaction of the Federal Government.

“As we celebrate, I enjoin you to uphold the core values, vision and mission of the College,” the message read.

Abdul further urged the workers to align with the present administration’s strategic plans.

The plans, he noted, are geared towards consolidating on the past and shaping its future.

“Let us reflect on our attitude to the system and show positivity that would enable us to achieve the goals.

“Congratulations to all staff, Unions, Management, Principal Officers and other Stakeholders,” the Rector stated.
