Two Pakistani soldiers were killed in a military operation in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Pakistani military said on Wednesday.
An exchange of fire occurred between security forces and terrorists in the Hilal Khel area of the Bajaur district of the province, said a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army’s media wing.
During the intense fire exchange, two Pakistan army personnel and a terrorist were killed, said the statement.
It said that the killed terrorist had been actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.
Weapons and ammunition were also seized from the killed terrorist.
According to the statement, sanitisation of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists in the area. (Xinhua)
