Ajana Afa of Okeagbe, final rites begin Nov. 22

The funeral rites of passage for the paramount ruler in Okeagbe Akoko, Ondo State, the Ajana Afa of Okeagbe, Oba Oladunjoye Fajana would begin on Nov. 22.

In a statement on behalf of the family, Prince Niyi Fajana said the programme would last for one week to bid a proper farewell to a king who passionately loved his people.

Late Fajana, was a first-class traditional ruler and true protector of culture and values of his people.  He was 82 years old.

The prince said the burial activities would kick off on Wednesday, Nov. 22 with candlelight procession.

The procession will start at Ajuwa Grammar School, Oke Agbe by 4.00 p.m. and later traditional salutation at Ajana’s palace.

On Thursday, there would be a service of songs at Ajana Afa’s palace by 4.00 p.m. and on Friday.

A celebration of life service will hold at St. George’s Church Oke-Agbe by 10.00 a.m. while reception is at the Pry School field by 1.00 p.m.

The final Thanksgiving service will take place at CAC Oke Ayo on Sunday 26th November, there will be a Thanksgiving service at CAC Oke Ayo Afa Oke-Agba by 10.00 a.m.

He assured guests and people of Oke-Agbe of adequate security of lives and property during the period.
