FG appoints Abdul as new YABATECH Rector

The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Dr Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul as the substantive Rector of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH).

At the end of the deadline for the submission of applications, two professors, 21 chief lecturers from various polytechnics and eight other senior lecturers from universities applied for the plum job.

it was gathered that, out of the 30 applicants, 13 were from YABATECH, nine chief lecturers from other polytechnics, and nine from universities.

The Federal Government, eventually, announced Ibraheem as the substantive Rector of the institution.

The NewsZenith also reports that Ibraheem, a native of Ado-Odo/Otta in Ogun State, was born in 1965.

He joined the service of Yaba College of Technology in 1993 as Lecturer-2 and rose steadily to become a Chief Lecturer in 2012.

The new Rector obtained his first and second degrees from the University of Lagos between 1983 and 1996.
