Lokoja, Jan. 21, ’25 (TNZ) The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved eight new programmes and granted full accreditation to 18 programmes of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.
TheNewsZenith reports that the institution’s Rector, Prof. Salisu Usman, announced this in a statement on Tuesday in Lokoja.
Uredo Omale, Director of Public Relations and Protocol of the institution, signed the statement.
according to the statement, the Rector said the polytechnic recorded 100 per cent quality assurance success in the 27 programmes.
“This is a consolidation of the resounding accreditation success recorded in 2022 when NBTE granted full accreditation for its 30 programmes.
The Rector said that with the outcome, all programmes in the polytechnic are now fully accredited.
He added that the success was a reflection of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and stability.

Usman explained that out of the 57 programmes in the institution, his administration introduced 19.
He commended the collective efforts of the principal officers, management, academic board and staff of the institution for their dedication and support for his administration.
He thanked Gov. Ahmed Ododo for his unwavering support and for creating an enabling environment for the institution to thrive.
Usman reiterated his commitment towards rebranding the polytechnic to the admiration of other institutions in Nigeria.
