A man, Taiwo Ajadi has approached an Ilorin Area Court seeking to divorce his wife, Mariam, over alleged disobedience and wayward attitude.
Ajadi also applied for the custody of the three children produced from the marriage.
The children are two girls aged 11 and four years and a boy aged eight years.
Mr Maruf Ibrahim, counsel to the respondent told the court that his client, Mariam agreed to the divorce.
But she consented, not on the basis of the allegations levelled against her.

Ibrahim told the court that his client was not in any way disobedient to her husband or wayward in any way or manner.
He, however, said that the wife also wants custody of their three children.
The counsel described the children as minors and the husband should be responsible for their school fees and maintenance.
The Presiding Judge, AbdulQadir Ibrahim, said the applicant should produce evidence and witnesses on reasons why he should have custody of the children.
He adjourned the case until March 20, for further hearing.
