A former member of the House of Representatives, Shina Peller has resigned from the Accord Party to join the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.

TheNewsZenith reports that Peller represented Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola Federal constituency of Oyo state in the ninth National Assembly.

He said he joined PDP because of Gov. Seyi Makinde’s quality performance since the inception of his administration.

Peller said he led thousands of Accord Party members in the Oyo North senatorial district into PDP.

At a reception in Iseyin town, Deputy Governor, Adebayo Lawal represented the governor to formerly received Peller and his supporters.

Lawal assured them of equal treatment and a level playing field in the party.

While handing over the party flag to Peller and others, Makinde said PDP would give them a chance to blend.

That would enable them all join hands to move the party forward.
