………. APC Governorship candidate donates N5m
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), has commiserated with the families of boat accident victims in Kebbi State.
The NewsZenith reports that the accident claimed the lives of 14 passengers on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The boat was carrying about 100 rice farmers to Samanaji, a riverine community of Koko/Besse Local Government Area of the state.
Tinubu conveyed his condolence in a statement on Friday in Abuja, describing the accident as a big loss to the families of the deceased persons.
“I join the bereaved families and the government of Kebbi State in mourning the death of the departed persons.

“I pray to Almighty Allah to repose their souls and give their families the needed consolation at this time.
“I send my condolences to Gov. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the good people of Kebbi State,” he said.
Meanwhile, the APC governorship candidate in the state, Dr Nasiru Idris Kaura Gwandu, has donated N5 million to families of the accident victims.
Gwandu announced the donation, on Friday, when he paid a condolence visit to the families.
He assured them of the government’s commitment to rescue the missing persons.
Meanwhile, rescue workers have recovered 14 bodies while six are still missing.
The boat mishap, which occurred in Koko/Besse Local Council, on Tuesday, claimed many lives and property.
